Good practice guides for the wind sector
The wind energy has an important development not only internationally but also in Navarre. Nevertheless, this sector is new and without a large experience, where the Health & Safty Law is a challenge because of his special conditions. A high-technology, a skilled workforce and potential risks such as working at heights, high voltage installations, extreme weather conditions…
In this scenario, setting safety procedures, well-trained workers in rescue and emergency are important milestones to achieve. For this purpose, those guides have been developed (only available in Spanish).
A potential dangerous workplace
No one could contest the fact that the main causes for the registered accidents have been:
– Lack of preventative skills during the work organisation (method).
– Execution of the work (practice).
– Monitoring and control of work (inspections).
